Workshops

Through playful prompts – and with Milton’s eclectic cast of angels, demons, monsters and talking animals as our muse – these after-school creative writing activities are designed to help young people improve their writing skills, express themselves and have fun.

Taking place every term-time Monday, these informal drop-in workshops are FREE to attend with no booking required.  There will be a break during the Easter holidays, with workshops resuming again from Monday 13th April 2026.

They are ideal for young people aged 6-12, including those who love to write as well as those who need a little more encouragement.

Make your own Fire Horse for the Lunar Year of the Horse, and discover some horse-themed poetry in this free, family-friendly workshop for February half-term.  There’s no need to book: just turn up and join in the fun.  All materials are provided, with activities suitable for young people aged from 4 – 11.  Younger children are welcome to join us, but may need some parental help.
