Normally open by appointment only, these remarkable gardens – designed by Robert Adam – offer a rare opportunity to explore 12 acres of beautifully contrasting spaces, from the contemporary sculpture garden and parterre to the walled kitchen garden.

In celebration of our connection with Milton, his poetry will be brought to life with a reading in the gardens. Visitors can also extend their experience with a walk through the tranquil Lyde Water Garden, located just below the main grounds. The garden tearoom will also be open, serving cakes and drinks throughout the afternoon.

Tickets cost £15 (£10 for Friends, with all proceeds directly supporting Milton’s Cottage.
