Apple Day

Can we tempt you to join us?
2:00 pm - 5:00 pm 19 October 2025
Milton's Cottage, 21 Deanway, Chalfont St. Giles, HP8 4JH

The humble apple plays a starring role in Milton’s Paradise Lost, which he completed at Milton’s Cottage.  To celebrate, we’re delighted to invite you to our annual Apple Day event.

Raise a toast to Milton’s fallen apple and drink in literary history at our pop-up bar, where you can taste regional ciders as well as make your own juice with apples grown in our garden.  It’s also an opportunity to discover – and rediscover – some of the greatest poetry ever written.

Everyone is welcome, and the event is free to attend.  We hope you can join us.

For further information please contact us on director@miltonscottage.org or 01494 872313.

This event is delivered in partnership with the Friends of Milton’s Cottage.

Two children and two adults are using an apple press to make juice in the autumn sunshine. Milton's Cottage is in the background, with some adults watching. Bottles of the squeezed apple juice are in the foreground of the photo.
