The Chiltern Society and Friends of Miltons Cottage


Meet Chalfont St Giles Car Park 10-00am.

Today the walk is held in conjunction with Chalfont St Giles Literary
Festival celebrating the 400th Anniversary of John Milton.
The walk will visit Jordons where we will see the grave of William Penn,
founder of Pennsylvania and his wife, Hannah as well as the 17th Century
Quaker Meeting House, recently renovated since the fire in 2005.
We will return via Seer Green and passing Milton's Cottage which will be
open from 10-00 to 1-00pm and 2-00 until 6-00pm.

After the walk, the cottage will be open specifically for any walkers who wish to visit at a special group rate of £3/head including an overview by the curator.
